YMCA Greater Boston

Nature & Exploration

GRADES 1 - 6

Campers will have opportunity to discover new things about their environment they live in, and will be given the tools to answer such questions as "What role do I play in the environment?" This will take place through lessons in orienteering, map making, wildlife education and survival, astronomy, trail making and more. Along with the newly painted and designed nature cabin, a giant in-ground (outdoor) water pond will be a hot spot for both fish and plant life to be observed and studied by campers. Gardening, terrarium life, bird watching, and insect discovery are other exciting activities that will take place.
