Y Seeks Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator
The YMCA of Greater Nashua, through a partnership with PlusTime NH, is seeking an AmeriCorps*VISTA to serve full time for 12 months at the YMCA in Merrimack. This individual will take on the new role of Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator to help inform the public about the programs and services available to them locally at the YMCA of Greater Nashua through speaking engagements, newsletters, website development, etc. and build relationships with volunteers to recruit, train and place them throughout the YMCA. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with experience in communications, marketing, public speaking and/or fundraising. Projected start date is July 15, 2008.
Benefits include: monthly living allowance, health coverage, $4,725 education award, monthly bonus program, YMCA membership, professional development/training and GREAT work experience. This is a 40 hour per week position. Individuals may take part-time classes at the same time as serving as an AmeriCorps*VISTA, though full-time education or other paid employment is not allowed. Aquatic Volunteers
The YMCA of Greater Nashua is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist in our group exercise program and/or learn to swim program. Aquatic volunteers create and help to maintain a friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Full training is provided and CPR and First Aid classes are available to all program volunteers.
