YMCA Greater Boston

Best Buy Partnership

Nashua, NH:  February 19, 2008 -   The Best Buy store in Nashua proudly presented the YMCA of Greater Nashua with a check for $5,000 this week to support the growth of the Media Center in its Merrimack facility through the addition of interactive technology to make learning fun for kids.

Currently, 130 children attend the Merrimack YMCA's childcare and full and part-time pre-school programs and an additional 90 children come to the Y for afterschool care. The Media Center is not only used by these youth to teach them valuable skills that they will carry with them for a lifetime, but also hosts computer literacy and other classes for the community.

The Best Buy Children's Foundation is committed to bringing kids, technology and learning together to shape our world and the future. Locally, store employees are involved in a host of volunteer activities.

For information on how you and your children can utilize the YMCA's media center or for information about all local YMCA programs and camps visit www.nmymca.org or call the Merrimack YMCA at 603-881-7778 or the Nashua YMCA at 603-882-2011.
