ages 8 - 12
It's no secret that poor nutrition and inactivity are putting today's youth at risk of developing life threatening diseases as they age.  In this class, children will learn to accept the responsibility for lifelong health.  In addition to 40 minutes of physical activity, participants will learn about food classification systems, the food pyramid, and the effects food choices have on their bodies.  They will learn to set and keep physical and nutrition goals, with maintaining physical health as a priority.  Kids will have fun while learning and moving.
